Ways to Promote Your Business through Internet Marketing

Internet marketing for beginners is somewhat of an oxymoron. This is because while in theory the concepts behind Internet marketing might be quite simple, executing effective strategies can be extremely difficult. This can even be tough for those who are quite experienced in the world of Internet marketing. With this in mind, this article will attempt to explain the concept of Internet marketing for beginners and will outline some basic strategies which can help a business owner to launch his own Internet marketing campaign. We will cover concepts such as creating a website, placing banner ads, sending out e-newsletters, orchestrating an email marketing campaign and optimizing your website for search engines.

Do you have a website for your business? Business owners who answer yes to this question are already marketing their products or services online just by virtue of the fact that they have a website online. Having a live website means there is the potential for curious Internet users to access your website. You may not be actively promoting your website but you may still find that your website generates interest in your products despite the lack of promotional endeavors; this is a form of passive marketing.

Do you solicit feedback from your customers online? This is yet another example of how business owners may be accidentally marketing their business on the Internet. Most business owners realize the importance of soliciting feedback from customers for business purposes and business owners who offer products online might solicit feedback in the form of online surveys. Although the business owners may be doing this simply for a business purpose the fact that it is done online makes it fall into the category of Internet marketing.

The affordability of Internet marketing is one of many reasons why many business owners are turning to the Internet for advertising. Advertising online is incredibly affordable especially when you consider how many potential customers a business owner can reach with an online marketing campaign. Most methods of online advertising are quite affordable and some of them do not have any direct costs. For example, you may choose to market your business online by participating in industry forums and posting links to your website whenever it is appropriate to do so. In this case the cost of creating and maintaining the website is insignificant in comparison to the number of potential clients you could reach through online marketing. Additionally, the costs associated with posting links to your website are incidental. You could consider the cost of having access to the Internet as part of the cost but you most likely require Internet access for other reasons as well so it is completely worthwhile.

Reaching a large target audience is another very worthwhile reason for marketing your business online. You may have spent a great deal of time and energy doing market research and determine who your target audience is. You may have also spent a great deal of time trying to figure out the best way to reach this audience. This is a very sound marketing principle but as it applies to marketing on local television, radio and print media it only allows you to reach a limited audience. However, when you take your marketing to the Internet you automatically drastically increase your potential target audience because you now have the ability to reach members of your target audience around the world.

We have already discussed several ways in which business owners may already be marketing online but what about business owners who want to have an increased online presence? Business owners who may already be marketing online accidentally may wish to launch a full scale Internet marketing campaign. The best way to do this is to hire a consultant with experience in Internet marketing to assist you in creating a campaign which is effective for your target audience.

Article Marketing For Beginners - In Simple, Easy Steps for Huge Traffic

Here we are going to look at article marketing for beginners and even if you have never written one before you can soon start getting great qualified targeted traffic and bigger profits by following these simple steps...

I tried article marketing for fun on one of mine own sites and then started writing articles for friends. After my first year, I had done over million reads and around 200,000 clicks to my sites.

I am a firm believer in article writing as a great way to get qualified traffic and here are the salient points you need to consider to enjoy article writing success.

Writing your Article

The article has 3 key elements:

The Title

Make this key word rich at the start and make it long enough for you to entice the reader and tell them how it will benefit them.

The Content

Make sure your article is not to short - make 500 words or more if possible but you don't want to have one that's to long either, so 750 words should be the maximum length.

Write a tight focussed and just tell them what they will learn by reading it and that's it.

The body of the article should not consist of long paragraphs, try and keep them to about 4 sentences and break the article up with eye catching sub heads and bullet points.

The key point is to make the article easy to read, get them to your resouce box and to your site.

Make sure it's a natural article, search engines work on LSI principles now so forget trying work out keywords and their effect.

You want to show you're an expert in your industry and you want them on your site, so start telling them what else they need to know in the end paragraph, that's related to the content of your article. Show them you have a lot more knowledge or information to share.

You're Resource Box

You need a headline and it should be a high perceived value item.

A free PDF, free newsletter or limited offer are always good. The offer will of course depend on your service or product - but something with high perceived value is what's required.

When you have written one article change the headline and edit the text.

It's the same message but you're creating 2 x versions.

I can write an article in about 45 minutes and edit in 15 and if you follow a set format you can do the same.

2. Submitting Your Article

One version you want to take a search term, so it needs to go to high page rank article site and you need to get some links to it to increase its chances of rating highly, so Bookmark it and Blogg it.

The second article is to get traffic from directories.

You can submit it to as many as you wish. While many article writers use software and put it in as many directories as possible, I used about 30 only and do it by hand.

I have a different directory list depending on subject and these 30 will do 70% of a full 600 list on article submission software.

The article directories on these lists have been tested by me and are a mixture of 15 (the biggest) and then some niche directories, or ones that get the most hits on my subject. For example, I have one directory outside of the Alexa top 100 that gets as many hits as one in top 5,000!

Spend some time testing article directories to get a targeted and responsive list.

Many article directories do not like automatic submission software and look to ban people who lose them so dont bother with them.

If you know your subject article writing is a great way to get targeted traffic and get it quickly.

Don't try and be to clever. Your out to pre qualify and that means an article that is natural, shows off your knowledge and is easy to read. Combine that with a good offer and you will soon be getting a constant flow of high quality leads which you can turn into profits.

Article writing for beginners is made complicated by many people but it's really common sense and I managed a million hits in my first year and if I can do it you can to.

Ten Simple, No Cost Methods to Take Your Marketing to the Next Level

No cost marketing methods, are you crazy? To answer that question, no, I’m quite sain. Every online marketer can use ten methods to boost marketing for nothing out of pocket. With these free marketing methods you can try them, and find the ones that fit your needs, with no cost you can put them all into use and watch your sales boom.

1. Remember it is all about your visitors. Your ads are not the place to get a case of the “Me’s”. Your visitors will want to know that their needs and wants will be met. They want to hear what your product or service will do to make their life easier, and better. So remember, your ads are not the place to boast about awards won, or your genius. Put yourself in the customer’s shoes and write the ad for them.

2. You can allow visitors post a free classified ad on your website. Let them post the ad and in return they must give you a valid e-mail address. If it suites you, require them to return after a agreed upon time to re submit. You can also get them to give you a reciprocal link on their site. You will get an address for you list, as well as get your link post on another site for free.

3. Are you an ezine article writer? Allow others to publish your articles on their sites. By including your website ad and link in each article published, you will then get your information out every time someone uses your material.

4. Are you one who likes to leave feedback on a product or service you have received? If so don’t let that go without getting something out of it for yourself. When you email your testimonial to the company give them permission to use your praises on their site as long as they link to your site. Simply put your name under your testimonial and your site information.

5.You can give away the soft ware as a gift to customers as a way of showing appreciation. Place an ad along with the gift for a back end product you are offering.

6. Since your subscribers are most likely to invest in upgrades and pass information onto friends, try giving them free copies or limited memberships to new products you may have. What you may offer free today, will be put back into your business plus more when upgrades are bought, or full memberships purchased.

7. People buy product when they see the ad repeatedly. Give away a follow-up email course on anything pertaining to your product. With each lesson remember to include your ad. By keeping your advertisement in your customer’s mind they will be more likely to buy from you.

8. Contest’s are always a hit with people. When they think they can win something for free, people will always sign up. You can use short polls or surveys for people to enter the contest, and it will increase your opt in list. By giving away ebooks or reports, or if you want something to send them go with t-shirts, caps, or anything with your company logo. Then notify everyone by email to announce the winner of the contest.

9. If your site does not have message boards or forums on it, you may want to change that. It will let your customers be more active on your site. When members get active on a message board or forum, they are more likely to return later.

10. How to articles or stories are a fantastic way to keep people reading your site. Everyone enjoys a good story or interesting articles. By using tall tales and humor on your page you will find more people taking time to read from start to finish.

5 Five Marketing Strategies to Make Your Website Sell

No doubt you want your website to sell your products and services, don't you?

In order to that you must of course get visitors to come to your site and there are many ways to do that. Placing ads in different places is one, writing articles is another and participating in forums is a third.

You have about five seconds to catch your visitors attention so you have to carefully design your first meeting - so to speak.

I will discuss five easy strategies to catch the visitor and keep at your site.

Strategy 1.

Keep it simple! This is so important and many times overlooked. If you put bells and whistle all over your site you will most likely confuse the visitor and it will also take more time for the page to load. Remember you have five seconds!

Strategy 2.

No matter what way of attracting visitors you are using, you must always send them to a squeeze page.

On the squeeze page you want the visitor primarily to give you his name and email - at least.

Visitors very seldom buy at the first visit. It might take up to five visits before they buy. Therefore you must have a squeeze page first before you send them to your regular site.

In order to get their name and email you must make it worth while for them. You can for instance give them a free report or a CD on the subject of your site. A simple newsletter will not do anymore. It is too common.

Strategy 3.

You must also explain the benefits for the visitor. What is she or he going to achieve by reading your report? What is in for them?

Compare this to your own reactions when you visit other websites. What attracts you? What do you dislike? Learn from this.

If you can do this with a short video, it is a great help. Explain exactly this in the video and what they have to do to get the report or whatever it is you are offering.

Testimonials, especially from known people, are very good to refer to here.

Use only one call for action and make it perfectly clear to the visitor what it is.

Use the so common "Submit" button wisely. You can change it something else like "Claim your report here". It does not have to say "Submit"!

Strategy 4.

Use your "thank you" page to build up more trust with the customer. He or she has just decided to trust you enough to order your report and deserves more than a nearly empty page.

If you haven't before said anything about privacy and spam this is the place to say it or preferably repeat it.

It is also good to offer an unadvertised bonus here. Make sure that the visitor does not have to fill in any information again.

Also state that this visitor is now special. I mean that you should take good care of him since he is now more than a visitor.

I personally very much dislike to get a one-time-offer at this stage. I perceive it as too pushy and I get angry when I am treated in this way.

I suggest instead that you ask for permission to send one more mail with a couple of question about what the visitor thought of the report. Even if you ask him to comment in your blog, he might not do so.

When you do this, you should have another ethical bribe ready, of course.

To me this is an excellent way to find out how the the prospective customer perceives the report and it might give you a good clue if there is anything missing.

Strategy 5.

When the customer has replied to this report and you deliver the ethical bribe it is time to give him a very good offer that you only give to customers who have replied to your email. Then of course you upgrade their status since you have now had several contacts and he starts to get to know you.

Of course you should also mail all others who have accepted the report with another offer which naturally is not as good as the above one. Make sure you state that also these customers can get a better offer by requesting to reply to some questions.

5 Ways to Strengthen Customer Relationships

Strengthening the relationships that one has with customers is very important. Customers that feel comfortable and have a good working relationship with a specific person or business will return to patronize that person or business again. There are generally 5 ways to strengthen customer relationships.

First, making sure that customers are taken care of is vital. People need to know that a salesperson or employee cares about them. There are many ways to make this happen, and a business owner or employee should use whatever tactics work best.

Second, price things fairly. It is true that one has to make a profit to stay in business, but also true that a reasonable price can be charged so that profits are made and customers feel as though they received a good deal.

Third, remind customers about the business. Customers will not keep shopping at your store if they forget that it is there. Advertising helps to remind them that they want and need what you have to offer.Fourth, keep your store clean and neat. No one wants to shop in a dirty store, or one that appears unsafe or uncared for. It makes customers feel that a business takes no pride in what it has to offer to others.

Fifth and finally, make sure that employees take care of themselves, as well. This does not mean they are all expected to look like supermodels. It only means that they should make an effort to stay neat and clean, as hygiene is important, especially in the selling profession.

By following these simple tips, a business and its employees can greatly strengthen the relationships that are seen with customers. This will make customers want to shop at a particular store, and can keep them coming back more often than they otherwise would. They may also spend more money at that store, helping the business profits to grow, as well.

Advertising Isn't The Only Way To Grow A Company

Watching otherwise successful companies miss huge opportunities for growth is probably my greatest frustration.

Just yesterday a business owner I spoke with said, "that won't work for us". He was adamant that no form of marketing would work for his industry other than cold calling. He's wrong. And his growth is hindered by such a closed view. Many of his competitors totally dominate him. He's forced to work long hours as a slave to his company and unable to take off more than two or three consecutive days a year. His family rarely sees much of him.

This isn't completely his fault though. Traditional advertising had been such a huge waste of money for him that anytime something new comes up he immediately discredits it without checking.

He's not alone.

Business owners are so tired of over-hyped marketing promises from online and offline advertisers that as soon as anyone mentions anything remotely related to increasing sales they flee like an ostrich that runs and buries its head in the dirt.

It only takes once or twice of being burned by empty promises before people began to think that marketing doesn't work. They stop believing in possibilities.

I admit it. I've been burned too. In the early 90's I took every penny I had (and then some) and put it into a cluster of radio commercials to promote a business I owned back then. The ad agent told wonderful stories of how so-and-so used radio ads and became an overnight success. I was excited for that to happen to me too.

He lied. I lost everything. That was a very painful learning experience.

No wonder people are reluctant to believe in marketing. Sometimes it takes hitting bottom before we learn how to reach the top. No child came out of its mom's womb walking. Falling is part of the learning process. At least that's what I tell myself.

Really though it doesn't have to be that way.

Smart marketing is totally measurable and predictable. And it doesn't involve spending more money on ads. It took me a long time to learn that.

The two most overlooked areas of fast business growth include marketing to past and current clients and customers.

The first area involves increasing the frequency of client purchases.

The more frequently clients buy, the more money a company generates. Offering exclusive incentives, coupons, discounts, or special offers arranged with other companies or vendors are just a few ways to get clients to buy more frequently. This doesn't mean screaming "sale" every few days either.

One company near me sends out a mailer once a month that shows some of their new, special interest arrivals. There are no coupons. Everything is available at full price. How do they get away with this? They are not positioning their offers as low ball, loss leader offers. They are promoting limited availability, seasonal availability, uniqueness and exclusivity. For that, people are willing to pay full price. After all, in the eyes of their buyers these are not commodity items. These are something special you can't find anywhere else.

Exclusive offers are easy to pull off. Do you have excess inventory you'd love to get rid of? Why not make an exclusive offer to a select group of clients or maybe to all of your clients and no one else? They will love you for thinking of them.

How ever you choose to pull this off the bottom line is to encourage existing clients to buy more frequently. Special offers is just one way to do that.

The second most overlooked area of fast business growth involves increasing customer retention.

Clients drift away for a number of reasons. Often complacency of the business owner and staff is the cause. Other times clients drift away for reasons that have nothing to do with us. "Salvaging" clients from leaving has the same impact on a company's bottom line as increasing sales by that percentage.

For example, if a business normally has an annual 30% loss of clients but works to bring that to zero, that is the same as giving the business a 30% increase in sales. But the best part is, the business grows without taking on a single dollar of additional advertising expense. This is as close to getting free money as a business is likely ever to find.

And it's far easier and cheaper to improve the bottom line by preventing attrition, than prospecting or advertising to generate sales through new clients.

These are just a few ways to increase sales without spending more on advertising. There are dozens more. Test different ideas. The goal is to avoid missing the opportunities for growth others in your industry may be overlooking right now.

America Is Worried About The Economy

I've been accused of being a meticulous tracker of data and stats.

Here's what I mean...

Over the course of the past year I've written and submitted ten articles through the isnare.com distribution service. One article proves inconclusively that America is worried about the economy.

On January 16, 2008 I submitted an article titled Business Growth Strategies For Surviving The US Recession. That article has received more interest and more views from publishers than any other article I've ever submitted through the network.

Actually, in only 40 days that article has received more views than any other article I've ever submitted through isnare.com. This is no small feat. One article was submitted on December 30th 2006. Yet my recent US recession article has surpassed all of my other articles in publisher interest.

What does this tell us? That people are worried. And with good reason. We are facing a mortgage crisis, a drop in corporate and consumer technology spending, and an increase in oil costs that will trigger a destructive domino effect in many industries.

The worse to suffer will be small business owners, consumers, and the poor. The rich will continue to prosper. But so will proactive business owners.

I'm perplexed by the number of people who are standing around doing nothing. If the recession came rushing in on us decked in battle armor, tanks, and weapons people would be fighting back. Or at the very least grabbing their prized possessions and hiding in their basements or attics. They'd be doing something.

But that's not what's happening with business owners today. Most I've spoken with are doing absolutely nothing. They are continuing one day as the previous. They are in a daze. Some ethereal fog. Like hypnotized zombies they drag themselves through life but not actually there.

It reminds me of looking at films of Hiroshima victims who were in a daze after the blast. They were physically present but their minds were far removed from them. They were just a shell, a husk of what previously had been a person. Who could blame them? Everything happened so quickly. There was nothing they could do. They were caught off guard.

But that is NOT the case with this recession. It's obvious it is coming. There's no reason to enter the fog of disbelief now. Now is the time to shore up defenses. To strengthen companies. To become proactive.

It's only by taking an aggressive stance at keeping your business growing that you'll be able to overcome any worries over the recession.

Heck it's your choice. Either take action and strengthen your company now, or continue to walk around in zombie-like state procrastinating about what to do...and get blown away when the recession finally hits.

Yes, I've already counted the cost of inaction. It's a bill I'm unwilling to pay.

How To Get Instant Cash In Niche Markets

The greatest thing about the Internet to me is the ability to see a demand for a product, fill it with a product that people buy, and walk away with my profits. Now, how great is that?

The sad part is that many people try this and fail miserably. I wanted to write a short guide that will allow you to be able to walk into a niche market, create (or hire someone to create) a digital product for that niche market, and get instant cash right into your PayPal account when you sell that product.

Before we even get started here, I want to say that this actually takes work. There is no such thing as instant riches, but if you follow what I'm about to teach you, you'll be up and running with money coming into your PayPal account in no time at all.

It all starts with finding a niche...

Many people think the have to be passionate about a niche to make any money with it and that's simply not true. If you find a good profitable niche that you know nothing about, you can simply hire someone to create products for you that does know something about that niche. You can find many able people to do that at any of the freelance sites online.

Once you find your profitable niche then it's time to do keyword research to find what people are looking for in that niche. These keywords will lead you to what products to create.

For instance if I want to go into the landscaping niche. I can do keyword research for the term landscaping, and find related search terms. One that actually comes up when I do this is landscaping designs. I can think of tons of products to create around that niche.

Now once you know what products to create it's time to either create the product or hire someone to create it. Remember I said you can find people to create products for you at freelance sites. If I was going to create products for the landscaping design niche that's exactly what I would do.

After your product is create, it's time to create your marketing system.

Your marketing system consists of a sales letter on a website to sell your product, a payment processor to take orders, and a download page so that once your customer purchases they can download their product.

I also recommend that you fit an affiliate program in there. The quickest way to make money off your product is to get affiliates to promote it for you. When you have an affiliate program setup you can spend your time recruiting affiliates to promote your products for you. This way you can leave the marketing to them, and all you concentrate on is getting more affiliates to make more sales for you.

Once your marketing system is setup, it's time to push the money button. Place your order button on your site, start recruiting affiliates to promote your product for you, and pretty soon you'll have cash coming into your PayPal account.

You shouldn't stop there though. Create multiple digital products for multiple streams of income. Again, with an affiliate program in place, you're just recruiting affiliates and letting them do the selling for you.

Now I know what I've just explained to you is a very general guide, but you can take what you've learned here, lay it out in a plan, and research the topics that stump you. It all starts with you taking action though, so start by taking the first step today!

The Keys To Profitable Niche Marketing

Many people who get online look for the "dream" of being able to push a button and instantly start making money online. Honestly, this isn't what usually happens. Anyone that promises instant riches should be someone that you think twice about listening to.

However, in my experience it's been pretty easy to make money online as long as you have a plan to do so. Everything you ever do should start with a plan. You don't build a house without a plan do you? Then why would you try to build a business without a plan?

The first part of your plan should encompass finding a profitable niche that you want to make money with. This niche can either be a passion you have or one you know will make money. Just because you aren't passionate about a niche doesn't mean you can't make money with it.

Once you've picked your niche, your next step will be deciding how you're going to make money in that niche.

I highly recommend creating a product that will instantly make you money, creating a membership site that will continually make you money, and building VRE sites that will make you money in the future.

That all might sound like jibber jabber to you, so let me explain each one...

Instant money in your niche...

This comes from creating an information product targeted at your niche. Create the product, setup your marketing system to sell it (your sales page, download page, ect), and then recruit affiliates to sell your product.

Monthly money in your niche...

If you can create one product for your niche of choice you should be able to create content for that niche on an ongoing basis. If you can't then I'm sure you can hire someone at any of the freelance sites who can. This content can be put inside a monthly membership site that people pay you monthly to access.

This monthly income will allow you to either create another product you can sell for instant money, or get into a new niche that you can sell products in.

Future money in your niche...

There are tons of ways to make money off of websites that you create. These websites are called VRE (virtual real estate). You can create awesome content websites and place Adsense ads on them, affiliate ads, etc.

If you build your VRE empire the right way right now, the return from them in the future could be huge.

Now once you have this all planned out, you start by funneling traffic into your first instant money product. Those people will then be funneled through your monthly membership, which will give you your monthly income. Then funnel everyone to your VRE sites, and the sites you build now will make you money when those people hit the sites in the future.

This is a great plan to get instant, monthly, and future income from your niche marketing efforts. Take the information you've just read, pick a niche, and create your plan to profit online from niche markets.

Would you like a step-by-step guide showing you how to find profitable niche markets that you can easily start making money off of? Then I highly recommend you take a look at the course at http://www.MafiaMarketingCourse.com You'll learn all about creating products in easy to dominate niches that will allow you to profit instantly, monthly, and in the future! Nine Ways to Network More Effectively

No matter what business you are in, you also have a second job...you are a marketer. That means you are responsible for letting others know about how you can help them. One of the best ways to get those opportunities to convert prospects into customers is by networking. Here are some simple strategies for making your networking more effective.

1) Don't describe what YOU do.

Let your potential client know how you can positively impact his or her life. Explain how your product or service will improve the life of your potential client.

For example, when someone asks me, "What do you do?" my first thought is almost always to explain, "I'm a writer and consultant." Unfortunately that response rarely piques the interest of potential clients. Instead I've learned to answer, "I POWERFULLY communicate business messages to get results." This answer not only grabs their attention but stimulates more questions about how I might help that particular prospect.

Action item: Develop your value response to the question, "What do you do?"

2) Turn interest into appointments.

Once you have developed your value response to the action item above, you are well on your way to more effective networking. When you describe what you can do for a potential client they are more likely to be interested in what you do. After all, it's all about WIIFM - What's In It For Me!

My friend Ray is a dynamic individual. Coincidentally he runs Interlink a faith based organization. I recently overheard someone ask Ray what he does. Ray quickly replied "I help seniors and others stay in their homes as long as possible." The person asking the question was immediately touched and wanted to know more. By providing just enough information to increase curiosity, Ray quickly gained interest and a new volunteer for his organization. Ray also learned of a senior in need through this interaction.

You can follow this same strategy. Always provide information that is of value even if the prospect doesn't schedule an appointment or need your services right now. The idea is to partner with customers to help them - not to trick them into services they may not want or need.

Action items: Develop a response to further inquiries about your business or service and provide valuable information to potential customers that helps turn interest into appointments. 3) Give prospects more than they expect.

Sure, your time is valuable but so is the time of your potential customer. Maximize the effectiveness and value of your initial meeting by offering to meet pro bono (or for free). While I don't advocate giving services away for free, a complimentary initial meeting is a good way to find out if your services are right for the customer...and if the customer is right for YOU.

Recently, Wade, an investment services broker contacted a marketing specialist to discuss ways he could increase his client base. The marketing specialist granted Wade a complimentary ½ hour consultation and could have suggested all kinds of advertising and marketing placements that would have cost Wade lots of money. Instead, the savvy marketing specialist detected that it would be more beneficial for Wade to build networking skills and work on individual relationships to increase business. During this complimentary meeting both parties quickly assessed that they could probably work together in the future but the timing wasn't quite right. Wade was grateful for the honest assessment and has since begun building relationships via the local Chamber of Commerce. When he's ready to put together a marketing campaign, Wade knows who he'll call. Action item: Consider offering brief complimentary consultations to evaluate if you are a good fit with a potential customer.

4) Can't assist? Try to provide a referral source.

Let's face it. There will be customers you cannot help because their needs don't fall within the scope of the services you provide. It's a given. There will also be customers you don't want to work with (which is why the initial consultation is so important). Regardless of why you won't be working together, provide a reference to someone else who might be able to help if you can. This simple gesture continues to position you in a place of value.

Often if I have an initial consultation and find they need services I don't provide (or if we are simply not a good fit), I keep a list of contacts handy so I can refer them elsewhere. I try to provide at least three contacts so they have a variety of providers to choose from. Yes, I even refer to other writers and consultants. I have found this actually helps rather than hurts business. I believe there is enough business to go around.

Action item: Develop a list of referral sources you can provide as added value to customers you can't assist.

5) Collect and share business cards.

This may seem simple but oftentimes even network savvy people forget to gather business cards. Make sure to have a supply of your own cards on hand and trade cards with contacts you meet. It's a good idea to make specific notes for future recall on the back of the cards you collect.

For example, I recently met an investment broker. So I would remember our conversation, I discreetly made notes on the back of his business card when

we were done speaking. I also noted he was an avid golfer. Now when I pull up his card, it jogs my memory about our conversation. You never know when the information might come in handy.

Action item: Make sure you have your own business cards on hand at all times. Start collecting cards when networking and noting possible projects and interests on the back of business cards. Consider creating notes in a "tickler file" if the cards are two sided leaving no room for notes. Staple your notes to the card itself.

6) Remember to follow up.

It's the easiest yet most neglected step of networking. Many people miss out on future opportunities by simply not following up on leads.

Make it a habit to put aside time after a networking event to follow up with your new prospects. Once you get used to this step, it will become second nature. Enter their contact information in whatever filing system or software program (ACT or e-mail) you use. Now you can choose to send a quick email letting them know how much you enjoyed meeting them and/or send a handwritten note (include some additional business cards). Even if a person isn't interested in your services right now, you want them to keep you in mind for future projects or referrals.

Action item: Take a moment to follow up with a prospect today. The time it takes to write a note and the small investment of a stamp could pay off mutually in the future.

7) Continue to follow up.

While you don't want to inundate people with unwanted contacts, you do want to make sure potential customers know you are thinking of them. The key to continuous follow up is to be genuine.

One way to subtly follow up without being a pain is to be on the lookout for articles or information that may be of interest to the potential customer. Clip it out and mail it or e-mail to them with a brief note letting them know you're thinking of them. About one week later, give them a quick call to make sure they received the information.

Action item: Choose one prospect and send him or her an article of interest today. Make a note to follow up with a phone call in one week. Chances are you'll be pleasantly surprised by the response. After all, you are providing something of value for nothing.

8) Don't forget your friends and family.

When you're running your own business, it's easy to get caught up in day to day operations. It's also easy to forget some of our best references and (possibly even clients) are our friends and family. Be sure to keep in touch and let them know what you're trying to accomplish. I was recently visiting a childhood friend, Karen. We've been friends since we were five years old. Though we keep in touch via e-mail and letters we only see each other every few years because we live in different states. Over dinner, I learned that Karen is in the initial stages of planning a new business venture. I was able to share more about my own business and we found that we'll be able to help each other. Karen needed resources for completing a business plan as well as help with marketing ideas. While she knew that I was doing freelance writing projects, she didn't know that marketing and advertising plans are one of my specialties.

Action item: Never assume that everyone knows and understands what you are doing. Make a list of friends and family who may not be aware of what you do professionally. Send them a personal note along with business cards to ask for their help in prospecting. They could inadvertently become your top sales people.

9) Always thank your contacts for referrals and projects.

One of the first things we're taught as children is to say "please" and "thank you." Oddly enough it's one of the first things that many business people forget.

It's easy to fall into the mindset you are providing a valuable service and doing the work itself is enough. This is simply not true. People need to feel appreciated and valued when you let them know they are appreciated and valued. Continue to build relationships even after the sale by sending thank you cards and / or gifts. A little kindness will go a long way. Also, don't forget to thank those who have done work for you.

Action item: Recall someone you have worked with lately you haven't thanked. Then follow up right away.

Bonus Item: Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to invest in yourself and your business. In the spirit of offering more than is expected here is a final networking tip.

Join organizations that help you connect with likeminded people who want to succeed. You can visit www.yahoogroups.com to find these types of groups. Or do a search using www.google.com for areas of interest. Check out professional business groups you are eligible for locally. Chambers of Commerce are often a great source for networking. (If you're a writer I can highly recommend the National Association of Women Writers. I have to say, as someone who POWERFULLY communicates business messages to get results, this organization has been an invaluable networking tool.)

Action item: Make a list of organizations you can join to help grow your business. Choose one to join today!

It's Up To You to Make Customer Service a Positive Experience

When was the last time you had a truly phenomenal customer service experience?

When was the last time someone you know shared a story about wonderful customer service?

Were you able to recall a truly positive experience without having to think too far back? If so, that's great! I encourage you to share that experience.

The sad truth is that most people will probably recall a poor customer service incident before they recall a great experience.

Why is this?

Satisfied customers don't have anything to complain about. They've received the service they deserve, the results they desire or at the very least an explanation of why something couldn't be resolved exactly how they would have liked, or perhaps an alternate solution to the situation (whatever the situation might be).

The satisfied customer is able to go about their business without negative feelings or thoughts. A satisfied customer has experienced great customer service and has been treated as a valued customer. They're comfortable with the service they received.

While receiving exceptional customer service is a great experience, people aren't likely to share the story unless they happen to be discussing the particular business where they received that exceptional service. It isn't often that a satisfied customer takes the time to let management know what a pleasant and professional experience they encountered.

An unsatisfied customer, on the other hand, will not forget that they didn't receive the service, answer, or solution they were looking for particularly if they were not treated with respect. The unsatisfied customer will share this experience with anyone who will listen and sometimes with people who aren't listening. Oftentimes, the unsatisfied customer will ask to speak to management, so that they can voice their displeasure. They are clearly not comfortable with the service they have received.

Let's stop and think about this. Satisfied customers will be glad to have had the experience but since a positive experience didn't cause discomfort, they are less likely to share the experience. Whereas, an unsatisfied customer, will share this information with who ever they can because they are not happy and they want to make sure that others know how they could be treated.

It would seem that something is wrong with this picture and not just with the responses of a satisfied customer versus an unsatisfied customer.

Perhaps something is inherently wrong with customer service in general. Could it be that companies provide improper training? Do businesses simply not care if their customers are satisfied?

I don't believe this is true of most businesses. I believe that businesses want to provide the best product and service possible. However, they are not always able to control the behaviors of others.

Perhaps the real issue lies with individual perceptions and the general treatment of fellow humankind?

How many times have you personally had a problem and taken your frustration out on the customer service representative you happened to be talking too?

How many times have the business contacts or customer service representatives taken such frustrations personally and responded in the same negative manner?

Customer service begins with each individual, the customer and the service provider. The truth is we are all people who deserve to be treated with respect. All too often, this is forgotten.

My point is this. You have a choice in how you will behave. You can work together with your fellow humans to provide solutions and understanding or you can choose not too.

While individuals can choose to be positive or negative, it's also important to foster positive attitudes in all business environments. This needs to begin from the top down. Owners, key management and staff members must promote positive interactions and model appropriate behavior.

Consider your approach. Consciously weigh how it affects others. Your behavior is important. It can result in a positive or negative experience depending on your actions.

When interacting with others, no matter the circumstances, consider the following:

How would you like to be treated? Do you have a clear idea of what you would like the outcome of your interaction to be? If so, share that information. If, not, consider the situation and prepare before interacting. If you don't receive your desired outcome consider the reasons & realize there are times when it may not be possible to a resolve a situation as you had anticipated. Be professional. Do not take your frustrations out on the messenger. People will usually treat you the way that you treat them. By giving each interaction thoughtful consideration before reacting, a more positive outcome is likely.

When we keep our own emotions in check, we are able to look at situation objectively and understand the reason for particular policies, procedures and even other's reactions and behaviors.

Most importantly, sharing kindness will spread kindness. Sharing positive experiences will encourage positive experiences.

We are all human and we will have our moments. However, awareness of this can help avoid unnecessary conflicts. It's up to each of us to do our part.

Network Marketing Lead Generation - The Insider Secrets Of The Funded Proposal

Hopefully by now you realize why every fortune 500 company, every successful business or corporation, and even successful non-profit organizations use Marketing. I am shocked that network marketers, who operate under this guise of marketers, have NO IDEA how to market and hardly do it anyway. But that is all changing. Why? Well, as much as I would like to believe I am some sort of pioneer or the "first" to come up with good ideas...it's simply not true.

There is a HUGE shift happening in network marketing. LOTS of people are waking up to the power of Internet Marketing to generate endless leads, and bring those endless leads into their business. Of course...most of these people are the ones who are more SERIOUS about being successful, which is why they put out more energy then someone who says, "I think I'll give it a try". When you take action it's not about "giving it a try."This is for the people who WANT success and aren't stopping until they get it. If that's you...I just handed you the map to the treasure chest. I'm going to cover somethingVERY important. This one piece could make or break your marketing efforts online. It's called the funded proposal concept.

How would you like to get your prospects to PAY YOU for being your prospect? It sounds ridiculous right? Would you believe me if I told you it was the only thing that makes sense? The funded proposal concept is the science of constantly stayingin the profit, and having your marketing budget pay for itself.

It works like this...

You are spending time or money to create the traffic that will fill your pipeline with prospects. Rather than ONLY marketing your company or program to that targeted group of people...with a funded proposal you LEAD with a generic retail product that is targeted to your prospects.

Or, if you're REALLY bright and see how powerful the internet really is... you'd put together a marketing and training resource page and fill it with VALUABLE resources for traffic and marketing education that people in ANY program are looking for. As people visit and pick things up from your resource page to help them in building their primary program, you get paid.

This is a "custom funded proposal". You offer people valuable resources that they are looking for anyway... and when those resources help them, they'll know you're a "good guy/gal" in the industry and they'll stay on your list. Later, you'd be surprised... they'll start CHOOSING to get into business with you. What that means is...you will have prospects entering your pipeline and you will be marketing a SEPARATE front end product to them that also helps fulfill a need they have. By doing this, you are making up-front sales of a retail product, which puts cash back in your pocket, pays for your marketing costs, PLUS you are marketing your business opportunity on the back end the entire time. This is what your company website will never do for you. This is what most marketers completely miss the boat on.

They fail to create a system where the marketing costs pay for themselves and they put their entire business at risk. Here is why the funded proposal is absolutely necessary. Online marketing takes TIME before you start to see consistent sales and income. I'm going to be completely honest with you just like I am honest with everyone who joins my business. It takes some time for you to feed your marketing pipeline enough traffic to start to see consistent sales from the system. A good expectation of what to earn in Top Tier Online marketing is $2000 - $8000 a month in commission income after 3-6 months. $10,000 a month between 12-14 months and that's IF you are doing it well. Online marketing is not get rich quick. But it CAN be very lucrative when you're in the right system with the right people guiding you. And having a solid system with a funded proposal is so important for you to offset your marketing costs and only attract and filter in good quality people. Just do the math...

If you choose to spend $500 a month on marketing, and that generates 12 funded proposal sales at $50 each, you're marketing MORE than you spend and your marketing pays for itself. Program sales that can net you $1,000 on top of that are pure profit.

With the funded proposal, you are marketing an upfront product to that market the entire time, and getting paid IMMEDIATE cash when someone purchases! Problem solved. There is a special kind of product that works INCREDIBLE to market to the crowd of people we are going after. Hint*, It has nothing to do with your company's product. No one opted in to your list because they wanted a vitamin, skin care products, or whatever else your company sells.

They want to make money. Lots of money. Quickly. So what do we do...we sell them training on HOW to do online marketing the RIGHT way. People are 10X more likely to buy training or coaching on how to do something the right way then they are to actually do it! You can also sell them traffic.

Advertising resources. Marketing tools that will help them drive more traffic into their existing systems. Information products work wonderfully in this niche. You can sell a good info product to your target market all day long and that will help pay for whatever time or money you spent to acquire that prospect. On top of this, as you get to know your new prospects and build trust...you can market much "higher ticket" programs down the road. These are entire business systems or packages which range from $1500-$3000, which can put SERIOUS money back into your pockets. And that is almost all profit. Are your eyes opening up here? Are you cracking out of the online marketing tunnel vision egg? There is a lot more ways for you to build "YOU" as a business, then just to build your network marketing company's business. Remember that.So now you might be thinking where do I find such a product to promote? DING DING DING, you're staring one in the face.

How many people in this industry do you think would like to know the information I have been sharing with you just over the past few days? TONS. Literally, TONS. You stand to make boat loads of money in this industry right now because most people are starving for this information... And more than that... they're desperately seeking people and systems that are proven to convert on autopilot. And frankly, there are almost none out there. Just a little knowledge of where to find the traffic and how to get it here... that's all. I can teach anyone willing to learn how to do this in less than 1 month.

So, keep on reading, keep on learning... but better than that...

Get involved and take action!

How To Cut The Learning Curve

When reading the Marketingtipps of online Gurus their most urgent advice is: it's best to market an electronic product, and of course, it's dead easy to make your own - just buy this little software from me - click HERE- it writes e-books more or less by itself, just choose a subject that interests you or are passionate about, it might even be something as mundane as "how you handled your teenage-kids through puberty without the boy landing in jail and the girl wanting to get married with 16...there are millions of parents out there eager to pay a price a little under US$ 30,- for this advice.

Now - think again - this Guru should know better - but what happened here- actually? HE sold a product - and he gave you advice - FREE advice? And the software may even be quite useful- more than likely, a good one. But what this Guru wanted in the first place was - to sell Mummy his piece, and maybe a second piece of software thrown in at discount price, and Mummy buys it and spends up to US$ 50-60; a fine package - is it not? Can you see what I mean? The Guru has made a deal, whereas YOU are sitting in your little home-business office wondering when the first US$ come rolling in from your "self-made" product.

That's exactly what happened to me! I'm a talented writer - so they say. It would surely be easy and fun to write my e-book on various subjects I'm expert in. Surely. But when checking on the typical sites I quickly saw - I would not stand a chance to MARKET my product, no matter how good it was, online. Because - yes - because it's a jungle out there in cyberspace! I would have to spend a small fortune and end up defeated, since I had little idea about online marketing and certainly no sales-list. How could I possibly put my product in the spotlight of prospective buyers, competing against the millions of other products out there?

So if you are like me, a person with just a modest marketing budget to put into campaigning, and no expert knowledge, I searched and found, it's best to join a group of experts that take you by the hand, lead you through the jungle by marketing proven and very popular products and create a 6-tier income stream, so that I could see my first dollars rolling in pretty soon and break even with cost. And all the time you learn, learn learn...how to market products online! Join such a program during holidays, giving you enough time to invest many hours at the beginning while you learn to install one winning strategy after the other. Although the system is pretty much automated, you'll still have to fine-tune your tools. The Guru's claim, you don't need more than 10hrs a week, well - this may be so, but frankly, I have not reached this level yet. However, once you earn more money, you can outsource more, so in the end this may be true!

Even though, I have not given up on my dream to write my own e-book some day. And today I know that even if it's a mediocre product, when presented professionally and marketed perfectly, it will SELL, and I'll laugh all the way to the bank!

A home based business is STILL a business = meant to make money, instead of just pouring money into the cyber-void. So, you can actually cut the learning curve and join a winning team, grow your income streams, and while doing so - start creating your own products. With a little luck

17 Reasons to Use the Tools to Build your Business

One of the critical success elements a well managed and structured company must offer their business partners are the tools to promote the opportunity and products. Today I would like to discuss the 17 Reasons to Use the Tools to Build your Business.

# 1 - Increase Activity. Activity = Income. Tools empower activity. Carrying a copy of a booklet, a newspaper, a brochure and your business cards in your purse or briefcase will ensure that you are constantly active in telling the story.

# 2 - Provide a Message. Tools deliver your prospecting message perfectly - time and time again.

# 3 - Pique Interest. Tools include topics that will attract the attention of your contacts. These topics include success, opportunity and increased financial income to name a few.

# 4 - Create a Warm Market. Tools sift and sort for interest and for the people whose personal timing is correct. This way you don't have to talk to people who don't want to talk to you.

# 5 - Experience Proven Success. It's simple - tools work. Many powerful leaders have built their businesses using tools: newspapers, brochures, books, CD's and DVD's, etc.

# 6 - Simplify Your Presentation. Tools allow you to pass along the same powerful message every time. Open doors and start conversations without any extra effort.

# 7 - Add Credibility. Tools provide instant credibility with personal success stories, research from experts and detailed information about the opportunity and products.

# 8 - Duplicate With Ease. Duplication in network marketing is essential. Tools provide a system and a routine that are simple to duplicate. Anyone can buy 100 copies of a tool and distribute them to their contacts.

# 9 - Reduce Confrontation. Tools present the opportunity without any "hard-sell" tactics or uncomfortable pressure. There's absolutely no strain on your personal relationship.

#10 - Build Confidence. Rely on the expert to tell the story for you. No more guesswork or stumbling over lines. You don't have to have all the answers.

#11 - Accommodate Your Contacts. Allow your contacts to review the message at their own time and pace.

#12 - Rely On the Message. Not everyone is a great presenter, but tools can make anyone a great recruiter. Rely on the message, not on the messenger.

#13 - Stretch Your Dollar. Tools are a cost-effective investment into your business. It is important to treat this opportunity like a business and to invest in the tools that will help you to build it strong and build it right.

#14 - Amplify Your Efforts. Tell your story in volume. Imagine the power of having hundreds of newspapers, brochures and CDs out in your community telling your story. The more people who see the tools, the more will be interested in the opportunity.

#15 - Provide Consistency. Sign up for Auto-Delivery Program, when available, to ensure that you are consistently telling the story month after month after month.

#16 - Build Belief. Tools are professionally designed and written to provide current, professional information about the product and the opportunity.

#17 - Enhance Productivity. Tools are the fastest way to reach a large amount of people. You can only be in one place at a time. Having a brochure stand or a newspaper route allows you to constantly share the message to the largest amount of people possible.

The tools such as booklet, newspaper, brochure, pique interest cards, CDs, DVDs etc. are the fastest way to reach a large amount of people. You don't have to start from scratch and create the message. Let an expert present the information for you. Don't worry about depending on your presentation skills or having all the answers before you start recruiting. The expert will tell the message for you in a non-confrontational way that allows you to sift and sort trough your contacts so that the people who are interested in the product or opportunity will come to you for more information. By picking interest and building belief, you are creating a warm market of people whose timing is correct for the opportunity now. These professional tools will establish instant credibility in the presentation and add to the value of your message.

It is important to target everyone. Start with the people you know: family, friends and neighbours. Your excitement will generate a whole new group of referrals. Keep copies of the tools on hand at all times for people you meet during the course of the day. Everyone you meet becomes a potential contact. The more tools you five away, the more success you'll enjoy. You have to be aggressive in the way you build your business in order to succeed. Success will never attack you

Consistent activity will build consistent income. Allow the tools to empower your activity and ensure that you are telling the story to everyone, everywhere. Your activity will indeed equal your income.

How to start affiliate business with no budget.

Congratulation, anyone who decides to start affiliate business is very well inspired. But no way one should try to learn everything at the same time. That is too much to grasp. And it is very difficult to find the real help or strategy from all the gurus pretending that cash will flow in abundance if one buy their products.

The problem is they presume that the buyer has the basic skills needed to start affiliate business. They also presume that the marketer has money to invest and they neglect to say that it will take months to implement everything up to functional operating level.

The first consideration, like in any enterprise, is just start walking before any attempt to run. The aspiring affiliate marketer must be aware of simple things to learn in the first place. A simple plan to follow again and again which will bring money home in a short time. And then, at the same time, read the numerous resources on the internet in affiliate marketing and find the strategy that he likes the best.

Now it is time to bring about this affiliate marketing strategy: Bum Marketing. Bum Marketing is some simple plans that require only simple tools and simple things to do in simple easy steps. There is a lot of variations, but for starter affiliate marketer, it is first to find a longtail keyword that has more demands than offers. Second, find an affiliate product like that is related to this keyword phrase and third advertise it. If you do not already know about affiliate products, go to Clickbank.com

There is a clever guy named Travis who wrote a few pages and did great videos to get started. The best part is that it doesn't cost a penny. Or if you want to cut time, look for this low cost keyword software Adword Analyser. You will find the link in the bio box.

A second guy named James Jones produced some very interesting videos presenting some funny bum marketing tactics and they are very good to start affiliate business. He uses his own developed software, Micro Niche Finder to find the paying money keywords. In those videos, he shows 5 simple methods to advertise affiliate related products through easy to implement techniques. It is a little more demanding than the Travis way though. It could be the next logical step in the apprenticeship of the affiliate business marketer.

Being stimulated by money coming in, the affiliate businessman should now educate himself and learn some more advanced strategies to bring home higher income.

Some great methods like going deeper in affiliate marketing techniques, or learning all about pay per click advertising, or all about social media marketing, or all about list building are a must to know for any serious marketers.

One simple and terrifically powerful method is viral marketing. Like a virus who multiply himself countless times. The webmaster would also want to learn search engine optimization. This is the number one requirement for bringing free traffic to a website. Silo site structure and properly theme keywords are the prerequisite.

In the mean time after visiting and implementing some Bum Marketing tips, the marketer may want to educate himself in the internet marketing domain reading some of the numerous articles written. A great place to find some is by visiting about.com. There are something like 15,000 articles over there.

Now if the new affiliate businessman wants the rush of hype and money dreams, he could follow the teaching of highly successful marketers and their time cutting, secret shearing products. There is a lot to learn from them but at the expense of loosing time. The most important thing for succeeding in any domain is getting the job done. So it is in internet marketing. Following a simple bum marketing plan is a must until it is mastered. Then outsource and work another one.

Bum marketing methods are very good for starting affiliate business. A simple plan to follow, some simple steps to do over an over, and the results come. So is the money.

The Truth About Multilevel Marketing

Multilevel marketing exists mainly to help companies recruit more sales people for their affiliate marketing programs. While you may profit from persuading people to join, the profits may be few and far in between. This is because many people are not interested in joining an affiliate program or they don't have to time because there have another job. If you want to recruit others, then you should be able to prove that the company is worth working for by working with them for a while to see how much you can earn.

Recruiting others can be profitable if the company is well known in certain markets, people are excited to work for them, and you have a lot of friends and family members who are interested in signing up. Depending on your commission for recruitment, you should continue your other affiliate marketing efforts so you can make a profit. If you don't see an increase in recruiting after spending time and money advertising, then you should stop recruiting altogether. You could be spending that time promoting the company and earning commissions. Keep in mind what your goals are and stick to them.

Multilevel marketing is only effective when the company is well known. Start ups will have a much more difficult time finding people unless they are willing to pay larger commissions. If you want to take a gamble by promoting a new company online, the payoffs can be very good. On the other hand, they may be very bad as well. As with any online company, research the company, the products, and their marketing efforts so far in order to find out if they are worth your time. To be successful in affiliate marketing, you have to spend time researching markets, posting ads, and using other marketing methods, so be sure to find products and companies that are going to be profitable.

Considering how competitive Internet marketing can be, do you want to increase your competition in terms of the number of ads that potential clients could click on? When you recruit people, you are increasing your competition. Even if they advertise to another marketing group, you could still lose sales. Before recruiting others, take a look at how many markets will be profitable for the company and see who is advertising there already. Saturated markets mean fewer commissions.

The final thing to consider when recruiting others is how much you will be getting for doing this. Because there are many other affiliate marketing programs out there, it may be more profitable to spend your time marketing a new product or company. Internet marketers who are successful usually work for two or more affiliate programs. While some may create websites for each product, others have one site that sells items that are similar. You should choose which method is the best for you early on so you can devote your time and effort to making a profit instead of deciding when to build a new website or if you should add a new product to an existing website.

Seven Tips To Creating Critical Mass With Residual Affiliate Marketing

Critical Mass is equivalent to a snow ball running down hill. It starts out small, but by the time it gets half way to the bottom it is growing and gaining speed, to a point that it is un stoppable.

The beauty of residual affiliate marketing is that it too starts out small, one customer at a time, but as you ad to it, and your new affiliates start adding to their business, and so on . Your business becomes like the snow ball running down hill. You get to a point that you can't stop it if you wanted to. That is when you have finally hit critical mass.

The biggest mistake new marketers make is that they get discouraged and quit. You have to keep the big picture in mind. Find one person to join you in your business and you are on your way. Then find another, then another etc.

Now it's time to help the people that have joined you do the same thing you have done, by teaching them how you found them, then get them to repeat the process. It may take month's or even years, but who cares. The rewards of a residual affiliate marketing business that has reached critical mass are beyond most people's comprehension.

Tip 1. Find multiple low cost products that repeat. The profit is made in the repeat.

Tip 2. Have a website that lists each of the products, so your potential associate can sign up for them all at once.

Tip 3. Have an area on your web site that allows your prospect to sign up for more information about your business. It is highly unlikely that someone is going to see your website and sign up for multiple products, at the first exposure. Capture their information for the next step.

Tip 4. Get a good quality auto responder and fill it with high quality follow up emails. The follow up is where you are going to gain your prospect's trust and turn them into a your associates.

Tip 5. Promote your opportunity as much as you possibly can. You can purchase pay per click ads, advertise in ezines, purchase leads through co registration, direct mail, join surf program's where your ad is rotated with other member's of the rotator, use article marketing, create a blog, link exchanges, post to forums. The list goes on and on.

Tip 6. Don't assume your associates will know how to do all these task's. You have to show them and in some cases even do it for them until they learn, or point them to the source's you used to get your self set up.

Tip 7. Continue to look for new residual affiliate product's, you can ad to your arsenal. You never know when the next best thing is coming out. It might just be the product that creates your critical mass.

The best part about residual affiliate marketing is you don't have to create the product, you can promote a couple or as many as you think are viable, and you get paid over and over again from your own effort's as well as those associate,s you recruit and they recruit.

Here's Why Paying For Your Traffic Is A Smart Move

There are so many success stories you will hear about businesses making it good in the internet. The troubling thing is, there are maybe a tenfold or even a hundredfold of stories contradictory to theirs. Many have unsuccessfully launched a business enterprise that is internet based but only a handful shall succeed.

Is this through luck? That is even more remote. It takes good business sense and a lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness to succeed and the determination to learn and the willingness to invest in a lot of hard work and some money.

The Very Basic

Like Neo, traffic is “The One”. Without traffic, all your effort would just go to waste. Every business needs customers, without them you wouldn’t have anyone to sell your products to. In the internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you have the more people would be able to sell your products to.

But like any business that’s in every corner building or in the mall, not everyone that goes in will buy, but the greater of number that do come in to browse your merchandise, the greater number of people that will buy your products. It is a simple and known fact.

But, how do you get traffic, traffic large enough that could make a small percentage of eventual buyers enough to make a good profit. Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands a day and a measly ten to fifteen percent actually buys, but that small percentage is enough to provide them with good business.

Many of these success stories get their traffic from paying others. Yes that’s right; you have to spend money to make money. Advertising is the key. The more people that knows that your site exists; the more people would of course go to your site, that’s common sense.

While there are many ways that can get you advertising for free, this do not generate the same high volume as those methods that are getting paid. These paid advertisements include advertising schemes by Google and Yahoo.

The Value of Searches

The search and will be the easiest and fastest medium in finding what a person needs in the internet. Search engines have been very popular because they provide a vital service to many people. They are free and easy to use. With this popularity, they get many visitors and clicks that they are the most common sites that people go to. It is easy to understand why so many companies would pay to advertise with these search engines.

Search engines provide information to the millions of users that they have each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your sites link pop up in the high ranks of the search results page, you get a great chance that they will go to your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements will ensure that you will be on the top ranks.

When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your traffic. This may sound like not such a good idea, but the payoffs would tell a different story. When you pay for your traffic, you are guaranteed of a consistent traffic flow to your site. You will never go with an empty sales day.

Paying for your Traffic

Usually, you will be charged with the number of hits a link gets when your ads is clicked, this is called pay per click. For some search engines, you will be charged with the number of times your ad shows up when a certain keyword or keyword phrase is searched. It is imperative that you have good keyword content in your ad. There are many tools that aid you in using the right keyword for the right moment.

All the money you spend in paying for your traffic will not be for naught. You will get an impressive boost in traffic which will also result to a great boost in your sales figures. Paying for your traffic would be a really good idea and you will get all the benefits it has to offer.

Internet Marketing Revealed

Are you suffering from information overload? I think just about anyone who goes on the internet looking for programs and tools to either promote their website or earn money online must be going crazy with the amount of information available. But who or what do you believe?

I've spent a lot of hours and quite a bit of money working my way through the internet marketing and online business maze and this gave me the idea and motivation for the netSuccess Partners concept. We just launched our new site this week and I think we have come up with something very special.

Firstly, my main priority was only to present visitors with the best of the best online programs, tools and opportunities so everything that appears on the site has been extensively researched and tested. The next challenge was how to present the information. We decided on a review based format and broke things down into four categories - search engine marketing, traffic generation, internet marketing education and online business opportunities.

Within each category there are six programs or tools reviewed. We have tried to strike a balance between free or low cost options and affordable professional solutions. It needed to be general enough to appeal to a broad audience but specific enough for people to find what they need for their business and budget. We have also tried to make our reviews straightforward and to the point by providing an explanation of what the program offers along with an indication of cost.

The next challenge was how best to market the site. I am a big fan of viral marketing when it is done well. So we decided on a membership based format. Given that most of the products reviewed on the site have an affiliate program attached to them, it was fairly easy to conclude that members could earn money by inserting their own affiliate codes into the site and the more they promoted, the more they earned. But have you any idea what happens if you just offer a free affiliate program like this? People just seem to sign up because they see the word free and then never put any effort into promoting their site.

Now that just wastes everyone's time and effort. So I wanted to make sure that if we were giving people a ready made website with a bunch of opportunities to earn affiliate commissions, they were motivated to actually promote the site. I figured a small one-off fee would probably do the trick so we set this as our pro membership level. The problem with this of course is that so many people are (rightly) skeptical about investing money in a membership program that we had to find a way to put their mind at rest. This led to us offering a free option where they get an affiliate link but only earn money by introducing other members. What they don't get is the chance to load the site with their own affiliate links until they upgrade to pro. The reality is if people are serious about promoting the site, they will likely earn enough in a few weeks to be able to cover the pro membership fee.

Heck, if I see a free member actively promoting the site for a couple of weeks, I'll probably give them a free upgrade to pro membership anyway. The pro membership is not our primary way of making money out of the site and it is mainly there to give people the motivation to promote the affiliate site we give them. It does beg the question though, how do we make money out of the site?

We could have just put up the site, offered the program reviews with our affiliate links and promoted it ourselves without an affiliate program. In fact, this is exactly what we did when we were testing the site and the quality of the programs on offer. But by adding in a membership base we have a bunch of motivated people promoting the site with us. This gives us a chance to multiply site visits and grow the program exponentially. Ah yes, how do we make our money?

Primarily we sell advertising space on the site. A well targeted, high traffic site attracts a decent advertising premium. We also run affiliate power ads on every page which helps us to earn some affiliate commissions ourselves as well as providing some nice visuals that complement the site's look and feel and unlike Google's sponsored ads, every click opens in a new window, keeping visitors at our site.

Of course, we will also be earning money from the pro membership upgrades as well as promoting a couple of our own programs on the site. But then, I think we have come up with a unique formula where everyone wins.

Our visitors win because they are presented with an honest review of the best internet marketing tools and online business opportunities. Our pro members win because they are able to earn affiliate commissions from the programs and tools being recommended on the site. Our free members win because they can earn enough money to upgrade to pro membership beforehand rather than having to commit 'risk money' upfront. And we win, because we have a high traffic website that earns us money through advertising revenues, memberships and affiliate commissions.

In fact, in all my time surfing the internet and reviewing online marketing and business opportunities, I have never come across a site quite like the one we have created. Am I proud of it? For sure but I'm also looking forward to our next project...

Proven Marketing Systems Are The Only Way To Go

Operating an online business is something that many people dream of doing. In fact, there are many people that regularly search the Internet for information on how they can start up their own online business and began working for themselves. The problem with doing this is that many of them fall into a trap of jumping from one system to the next and never really seeing anything through to fruition. It is always a much better idea to choose one particular system that has been proven to work in the past and to stick with it for the long run. How can you make sure, however, that you are working with the correct system from the start?

There certainly is not a shortage of people on the Internet that are willing to take your money, even if you are going to get nothing in return. You need to be able to separate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak, and to find a system that is going to work for you as long as you work for it in return. In doing so you will be able to guarantee your success instead of just jumping from one system to another. Here is how to identify the system that works best for you.

The first thing that you need to do is find a system that is totally turnkey. Not only will this help you to be able to operate your business on a limited amount of time, it will show you how the various parts of an online business work. Some of the things that must be in place before you should even consider going into this particular type of business are a constant stream of online visitors, a solid marketing approach that is proven to work and plenty of guidance to help you to understand how it all fits together. This will help you to be able to be successful with this system and to see how you can use it for any other Internet business that you may start.

Another thing that you should be concerned about is the type of leaders that you have in this marketing system. For example, it is not a difficult thing to do a little bit of research and see what other people are saying about the leaders in your marketing system. Some people have set up these turnkey operations in a way that will benefit themselves but not really anybody that joins underneath them. You want to make sure that you are part of a team that is going to operate for the benefit of everyone involved. Make sure that you do your research ahead of time so that you know that you are truly following the leaders.

Even though it may take some diligence on your part, getting started with the proper turnkey marketing system will help you to be successful from the start. Not only can you find your success with this particular system, it will help to guide you through all the various aspects of Internet marketing and show you how you can apply them to any other Internet business that you may be involved in.

Why You Aren't Making It Online...

Check out any of the online marketing forums, and you will find many people complaining that they are not making any money from their website. They are buying program after program from guru after guru, trying their tips, and still are struggling to create a successful site. Are they being misled? I don't think so.

There must be a reason why so many people are failing to succeed. They go online to make money, but never make "one red cent", and those who do bring in about $100 a year if they are lucky. Why this failure...

False information?

I don't think so... granted there are some lousy products and some awful information marketed to you, but there are some excellent products as well that are giving you valid information about a particular phase of internet marketing. What is being packaged to you is profitable from these later producers, but it is only a "piece of the pie", and you are not being given the whole truth.

Look for Boot Camps that proffer a step-by-step process for starting a successful business online. Check Google for those programs, carefully check them out, purchase the one that satisfies your need and apply the steps as outlined.

No product to sell or promote?

I don't think so... there is no lack of products and services available online that people can affiliate with and promote. Again Google for affiliate programs if you don't have a source for an affiliate program that fits your interests or desires. Most programs show you how to market their products and tell you what you need to do to start the money flowing right away. "Plug and play." Sign up as an affiliate and begin promoting the product(s) you do choose.

Lack of know how?

I don't think so... the problem is there is too much information. There is no lack of ebooks, programs, blogs, Squidoo lenses available, all able to teach you anything you wish to know about any subject you want to persue.

Settle on a program you have already purchased and stop looking for, and I might add buying, every new product advertised to you. There are many phases of internet information marketing, but you need to choose one path - one method - and become an expert in that endeavor.

I suggest you begin with blogging or Squidoo lenses as fairly easy ways to profit on line.

It's the internet - stupid!

Again, I don't think so... the internet is here to stay. It is growing at phenomenal rates and will continue growing for years to come.

Rules and regulations for how people are to operate their business online have been undergoing changes in some countries and could change further, but the internet will continue to grow, and you can grow with it.

So, what's the #1 reason?

The # 1 reason that people do not succeed online is that they do not get started building their first website. Many who do get a website of sorts online do not have the knowledge to create a good, functional business website, or they hire a website designer that doesn't understand the ins-and-outs of direct response marketing and selling online.

Don't allow this to hinder you. The road to online success is: Learn by Failure.

ACTION is the KEY

Step 1. Build Your Own Website

Other reasons a website might not sell...

Good content is King on outstanding websites. What seems to be missing on the less than stellar websites is good content about what they are promoting - either their own product or an affiliate product.

Their website design and color usage is all wrong. Everything runs together or it is very difficult to read, and people leave quickly without reading very much at all and certainly do not take the action they seek.

They have too much distracting clutter and no direct calls to action. They want to you click on the multitude of links they give you except for the ones that really count. #1 Click here to subscribe so that you can continue to market to subscribers over time. #2 Click here to order - for money in your pocket.

List Building With Your Luck List

I'm sure you have heard this statement among Marketer's of all kinds .. "The Money is in the List!"This is extremely true, but a large list of people that want you to market products to them can be the hardest thing to achieve. Were not talking about some wimpy list of 100 people we are talking about a list of literally thousands who have double opted in.

If there were only a way to easily build a list like that ... Can anyone see a niche here? I thought so. Many services popped up stating they have achieved this ability but really fell way short. Gary Ambrose, a highly successful affiliate marketer who has been in the game a long time, saw this need and boy he has filled it like no other.

Your Lucky List is a list building service that allows you to grow a large mailing matrix of people you can send email promotions to. You may be asking "What is a mailing matrix?" In essence, you refer people to the program, and once they join they will be in your mailing down line. Also, anyone these people refer will be in your mailing down line, or personal matrix. With a little effort, you can create a list of many, many people who agree to receive your ads via email. The people you will be mailing to are members of your lucky list, not just some person that filled out a survey. They know what they have signed up for and what they will be getting in return.

Blaine what happened to the thousands of people you were talking about?

Your Lucky List is an excellent way to get your list started. A lot of things go into a successful list building strategy, but this program will help you get the ball rolling very nicely. In addition to being able to email people in your personal matrix, you will have the opportunity to send your ads to people outside of your down line through something called the 'Lucky Matrix'. This is a random system kind of like a lottery, which allows you to market to an extra list of prospects every Monday. Sometimes this extra list can be a few and sometimes this can be thousands.

Sounds too good to be true, the catch is?

Well with a service as good as this there really can only be so much you can just give away. The first major benefit of upgrading your account for Your Lucky List is more mailings to more levels of your forward and random matrix! Free members can mail to a maximum of 6 levels in their matrix (if they have 5 direct referrals), however, upgraded accounts can mail to a minimum of 7 levels. This means that members with a deeper matrix will be able to mail to more prospects by upgrading their account.

The second benefit of upgrading is more mailings to your list, depending on the account type you choose. Why settle for just one mailing a week when you could be mailing two or three times? At the demand of members, they have just recently added the third benefit to an upgraded account, GUARANTEED PROSPECTS! These are extra prospects, above and beyond whatever you have in your matrix, and that you've earned through the referral bonus system. Let me explain... If you currently have 25 members in your matrix, you can mail to those 25 people once each week. That's great, and over time your matrix will grow, but by upgrading you can grow your mailing ability instantly. For this example, we'll look at the "Silver" account level. With the same 25 members listed in the example above, you'd now be able to mail to a total of 275 prospects on each mailing! That 275 is achieved by adding your 25 matrix members and the 250 prospects we add to each mailing. But, it gets better... The "Bonus Prospects" are chosen randomly on each mailing, which means that you could be mailing to 250 different prospects each time! Rather than advertising to the same group over and over, you're going to be hitting a different group on each and every mailing. Continuing the example, if you have just 10 direct referrals, you qualify for our "ten" referral bonus, which would add an additional 100 random prospects per mailing. So, if you're a silver member, with a matrix of just 25, and 10 direct referrals, you'd be able to mail to 375 prospects on each mailing! And finally, as an upgraded member you're going to be able to earn recurring direct referral commissions. Free members aren't paid on upgraded members in their down line, but paid members are! While working to increase your referral bonus, and build your matrix, you could be getting paid. All Lucky List commissions are recurring, which means that once you refer a member, you earn on that member as long as they're a subscriber.

Account Subscriptions range from 19.95 per month all the way to 99.95 per month. You can even buy textual ads on other member's mailings.Yes you heard me right.

Conclusion

You just can beat free promotion period. Your Lucky List has done a great job at providing a top notch service, with plenty of features accessible for zero zilch nada yes that is right no cost to you. I highly recommend it be a part of your marketing strategy. Join YourLuckyList.com HERE.

How To Be Successful At Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting the products and services of another people in order to earn a commission every time the product or service is sold. Affiliate marketing is a great option for people seeking for some new source of income and for people who don't have a big start off budget to run somekind of big business. However the fact the affiliate marketing is affordable for everyone and it's easy to get in doesn't mean that every single person can be successful as a affiliate marketer. There is many factors deciding about success at affiliate marketing.

Location

In real estate, location is the most important thing. In affiliate marketing, location is also the one of the most important things but in a different way. The location we are looking for in affiliate marketing is not rather the location of geography or region that real estate developers are usually interested in, but rather the location affiliate markets are looking for is the proper market to sell their products. Marketers are targeted to different things and interested in different kind of products. Figuring out which group of people will be interested in particular product and targeting this product to them is the most important factor here.

Leverage

There is many sad stories in affiliate marketing circles, where the marketers came up with great marketing plan and the product being highly in demand but the didn't fully understand importance of leverage. They tested their marketing plan and particular strategies on one product that worked great in results but because the profits that it brought in were not enough to sustain a full time income, they gave up and heartbreakingly went back to their previous job.

What is the lesson here? The lesson is that people need to consider leverage when they consider how to win at affiliate marketing. Working out a strategy that works is hard, but once you have that strategy working for you, your next goal is to leverage the strategy by applying it to as many different products as possible.

It's quite simple, if you can make $100 a week selling a certain product, why not just start building up your infrastructure so that you end up making $10,000 a week eventually by selling 100 products that each make $100 a week?

Critical Thinking

Location and leverage are two important examples of things that came about as a result of critical thinking. Someone was faced with a problem (too few people interested in the general public or too little profit from selling one product) and came up with a solution by thinking on their feet. Trying to work out all possible ways at a time to get you business off the ground is simply impossible in online marketing. That's why you need to apply critical thinking about what is working for you and what isn't and keep searching for new ways. It's time consuming it might be tiring and confusing, but sooner or later you will find that idea.

Selling The Right Products Can Make You An Enormous Income on the Internet

Some production lines seem to run forever -- for instance Kellogg Corn Flakes, Ford automobiles, Oreo Cookies, Kraft Cheese, Famous Amos Cookies, etc. If you ever developed a product like any of these, you will never need to worry again. Your only problem will be what to do with all the money that's pouring into your business.

Products are profitable if you find or develop them wisely, and market them successfully. The ideal situation would be to own and market your own product, and therefore keep all the profit. But this is very time-consuming, costly, and a financial risk-- a risk most people are not willing to take. That is why affiliate marketing is so popular on the Internet.

Affiliate marketing is simply promoting existing products or services on a commission-only basis. Every time you make a sale, you earn a commission. Programs are usually free to join. Once you enroll in an affiliate program, you are required to find potential customers and promote the merchant's product or service for people to purchase.

You do this by marketing the merchant's product or services to interested buyers. The merchant pays you-- the affiliate--a commission for generating leads, clicks or sales for his product or service. The problem with affiliate marketing is:

1) The majority of people are marketing the same products to the same market. It is basically a numbers game.

2) You give up control and profit when using this strategy since you don't own the products.

Also on the Internet, you will often see many products being sold with master resale rights. Master Resale Rights products are very profitable because you get to keep 100% of the profits you make. That is why you can make a fortune if you build up a huge line of resale rights products. But, there are some resale rights products you must avoid if you're going to build a massive income on the Internet.

The Internet is over-saturated with old, out-dated master resale rights products that have been on the market for years. You will never make money selling these types of products because you will be competing against all the other people who also bought those rights. And that can create a problem if there are thousands of others selling the same thing.

To make an enormous income online, it is best to market only resale rights products of good quality, where the owner only sells the product to a very small number of resellers, and the products are brand new and have never been released anywhere else.

But they are difficult to find because most product originators sell their master resale rights products to as many people as possible to make money. So most people start an Internet business marketing affiliate products.

The point is stay away from products that have been sold over and over again all over the Internet. And it doesn't matter whether they are affiliate or resale rights products.

Once you find a great product, then all you need to do is head straight for markets that are "hot" and already profitable. Doing this will readily eliminate buyers' resistance to your product, and create an enormous income in your Internet business.

To discover where to get brand new, hot-off-the-press, exclusive master resell rights products on a limited basis, click here: Hot-Selling Products. Small Business Marketing Success: It’s All About Your Attitude

Small business marketing success can only be achieved when you are mentally prepared to be persistent and tenacious. Having a winning marketing attitude is the first step in creating a business that dominates your market and defeats all of your competitors.

What’s your marketing attitude? Do you see yourself as confident winner or a cynical loser?

Most small businesses fail because of lack of sales brought on by a neglect of marketing. Typically, the business owner is wearing so many hats and battling endless problems that they push marketing aside until it is too late and they are hemorrhaging money. Marketing usually takes a back seat to employee problems, meeting payroll, dealing with vendors, satisfying customers, and fighting off competitors.

Unsuccessful business owners perceive marketing as an obstacle to be avoided rather the engine that drives the cash producing machine. Conversely, businesses that thrive for many years understand that marketing is the key to their success and that nothing else they do is more important. It’s all about marketing attitude.

Here are six marketing attitudes that generate sales and lead to success:

1. A Belief in the Power of Marketing: Nothing else you will do in your daily activities will create sales and profits more than your marketing activities. Marketing is an investment that generates positive results, everything else creates costs.

2. Persistence and Tenacity: You must never give up and constantly market your business no matter what the market conditions or who the competition. Most small businesses owners quit because of a few of their marketing plays fail to produce. A never-give-up marketing attitude is a must.

3. A Systematic Approach: Successful marketing is a methodical process that requires strategic planning with defined goals and consistent execution with results that can be measured. Most businesses plan by tossing a coin to decide where and execute a single, one time marketing play. This approach never works.

4. Resiliency and Immunity to Failure: When you play the marketing game you will face failure. Not every sales letter, advertisement, or post card you send will get people to act in your favor. You must accept the failures and use them to adjust your approach until you win. Your favorite marketing phrase should always be - “What’s next?”

5. Relationships Matter: Successful small business marketing is the result of creating relationships with clients and customers built on trust. When they know you and like you they will buy from you without hesitation and not consider your competitor’s offer.

6. A Winner’s Mindset: Marketing is a game that is played on a tough battlefield with many worthy adversaries. Being shy and timid about letting your prospects know how you can solve their problems and improve their lives can be disastrous. A confident message with an aggressive approach is the only way to take on your competition and come out victorious with the sale.

Having the right attitude toward your small business marketing is the surest way to achieve the level of success you desire. To learn more techniques to position your business as a marketing winner at http://www.TD-Marketing-System.com

Making the most in a Down Economy with Promotional Products

Why are promotional products the perfect advertising medium in a down economy? There are many answers to this question. We can all agree that when the economy takes a downward turn, prudent spending is a must. When you consider the cost effectiveness of all advertising options, clearly promotional products tops the list and here is why:

1. Short & Long Term Benefits - Promotional Products branded with your corporate logo and message are one of the most direct forms of marketing available. When you are creating a marketing plan, your number one goal should be to reach your target audience and create brand awareness. With so much "noise" in our daily lives, promotional products say so much without saying anything at all. When you pass out something like a stress ball, your target audience will have this promotional item for many months if not longer. Consider the cost of a radio ad - you might purchase a 60 second spot and your target audience may or may not hear the ad, and after that 60 seconds, you are starting over again with your next add, there is no sustainable benefit from this type of advertising. However, when you hand someone a promotional product, they will see your message time and again, as well as anyone else that they share the product with during its lifetime. Promote for today, tomorrow, and next year with promotional products.

2. Cost Effectiveness - On average a customer spends about $500 per order in the promo products industry. Don't Put All Your Eggs In The Internet Basket

Everyone talks about the internet. You would think there is practically nothing that cannot be achieved online the way this new medium is promoted and praised. And, yes, it has changed the way we live and communicate and the way we exchange information. But is it the answer to every marketing problem? I would argue not.

Although the value of the internet as part of any serious marketing strategy cannot seriously be denied, it is not the whole answer to any marketing conundrum. The mantra goes that if you don't use the internet you are losing money. But how true is this? Well, there is an element of truth there. Every business should have a website, but not at the expense of offline advertising.

Until extremely recently there was no such thing as the internet and yet business people made millions through other marketing channels, from trade fairs to billboards, business cards to promotional gifts. I mention these because they are still extremely popular and productive marketing methods. I guess I'm trying to say that there is more to marketing than the internet, and never forget it. Don't rely on it solely: make it an important part of the mix but don't put all your eggs in the internet basket.

In this article I intend to bring your attention back to offline marketing. By that I mean non-internet marketing. Why should you do this? I say it is because it's cost-effective and highly profitable to do so. Even if you are an affiliate marketer online, consider offline strategies to promote your website and products. Go back to basics. Use the time honored ways and means of marketing, such as word-of-mouth, joint ventures, direct mail, promotions and sponsorships. Hey, you can publicize your URL on the back of all these campaigns.

Pay attention to your business cards. Hand them out as a matter of course to absolutely everyone you meet. Yes, they can have your website address on them. In fact, they should. But no visit to a website can compare with meeting the business owner, looking him in the eye and being handed his business card. Hand them to the people you meet in school, mall, restaurant and even people at the bus station. All of them are potential customers.

Send out news releases. This is the way to make news spread like wildfire through radio, TV and the print media. This strategy may take time but it definitely delivers customers. And stickers! Place them everywhere that's legal and fun. Place them on your bumper and the bumpers of friends and customers. Put your website URL on stickers out there. You will get more visits, more business and ultimately more revenue.

Become an expert and a specialist speaker. Speak at local events and get asked to speak as an expert in your field. Believe me, once you are perceived as being an expert customers won't even bother to look at your website. They will come straight to you to do business. So you see there is not reason to confine your marketing efforts to the internet. There are hundreds of ways to market offline. You are limited only by your imagination.

he Importance Of Small Business Marketing

An article showing you why you have to market your small business.

Small businesses need innovation and resourcefulness as they do not generally have the necessary resources to launch huge marketing campaigns. If you are running a small business and looking for cost efficient marketing solutions, this article tells you how you can use the internet to your company's advantage.

Five ways to market your small business online:

First of all, build a website - This is the means for prospective customers to find out about you and the products you have to offer. You don't have to pay for web hosting even if you're running a website that is commercial just as long as your company can be properly labelled as a small business. Compared to other online media, a website enables your customers to see and hear about what you are offering and perhaps even to interact with you also.

Know about search engine optimisation (SEO) - This is important as your work is not just about building a website. In order for your website to work as a marketing tool for your business, you need to incorporate search engine optimisation elements in it. It can help your website soar to the top of search engine rankings therefore providing desired exposure.

With search engine optimisation, ensure that you focus on design and content. The website must have easily located links to facilitate navigation, as well as its layout being visually attractive. HTML should be used as much as possible as this is more search engine optimisation friendly than for example, CSS. Refresh or update the content as much as you can as new information will always encourage old and new readers to visit your site. Think about appropriate keywords for your website and use them wherever possible. DO NOT commit grammatical errors or ruin the coherence of your content.

Build your network contacts - A website does not operate by itself. You should do your best to build a network which can be done by establishing good working relationships with other website owners. Be ready to give as many favours as you hope to receive in return. As you make good friends with these people, you will end up exchanging links and this is called affiliate marketing.

Get involved with pod casting - Make new pod casts regularly and insert your ads in between. You need to make them short and interesting so as to discourage your listeners to switching off.

Start blogging! Blogs are one of the most effective online marketing tools today. If you don't have one, you are missing you on huge opportunities. They allow you to directly interact with prospective customers and instantly send updates about anything new happening with your company's services or products. In order to increase the marketing effectiveness of your blog, make sure you are writing about only one topic. This must be directly related to your company's products or services. It must also be something you know and love to enable you to write in a convincing and interesting way.

Internet Marketing for Beginners - Where To Begin?

One of the most basic steps for starting an Internet marketing campaign is to create a website. If you don't have a website or have a poorly designed website you should consider creating or re-designing a website to adequately market your products. If you do not have experience in web design, there are a number of software packages which make it simple for those with no design experience to create a functional website. However, hiring a web designer is worthwhile because he can work to create a website which is attractive, functional and suitable to your products and series. He can also help you include more advanced features on your website.

Banner ads are another popular option for advertising your business on the Internet. Banner ads are advertisements which typically appear along the top of a website but it may also include smaller ads in other locations. Banner ads typically include graphics and text which entice Internet users to click on the advertisement. Once a user clicks on the ad, they are directed to your website. This type of advertising can be very effective when care is taken to place the advertisements on high traffic websites which attract an audience who may have an interest in your products.

Sending out e-newsletters can also be a part of an effective Internet marketing strategy. E-newsletters are essentially emails which may contain a variety of information including informative articles, useful quizzes, relevant advertising or any other information which is deemed worthwhile for the recipients of the e-newsletter. The importance of these newsletters is that they can be used as marketing tools which are not viewed by the recipients as an advertisement. One way to do this is to incorporate links or other soft sale approaches into the copy of the e-newsletters. However, care should be taken to keep these references minimal so the e-newsletter is not viewed as spam.

Email marketing campaigns can be another successful aspect of an Internet marketing campaign. Email marketing essentially involves sending out emails to a group of individuals who may be interested in your products and services. Care should be taken in sending out these emails to avoid sending emails which are unsolicited and will be viewed as spam. One way to do this is to only send out the emails to users who have requested inclusion on an email mailing list. Another way to do this is to provide value in the emails as opposed to just including advertisements. This can be done by offering relevant advice in your emails and other useful information which may be of interest to the recipients of the email.

Finally, optimizing your website for search engines is a critical aspect of an Internet marketing campaign. Search engines rank websites according to quality and relevance for particular search terms. Many Internet users appreciate the effort by search engines and use these search engines to find the best websites on a particular subject. This means the Internet users are likely to only visit websites which rank well with search engines. Therefore if your website is not high ranking, you are not likely to generate a great deal of traffic from Internet users who use search engines to find relevant websites. Top ranking websites are likely to obtain the most traffic from search engines and all websites falling on the first page of the search engine results will likely enjoy some degree of success in improving their traffic.

Increase Profits With Powerful Landing Page Content

When undertaking any advertising campaign, from PPC to banner advertising, it is essential that you first optimize the appropriate landing page. The landing page should offer everything that your visitor wants to see but it should also be ready to convert the visitor to perform the desired action. Page relevancy, your Unique Selling Proposition, a clear Call To Action, and giveaways and discounts are some of the most effective methods to improve conversions and increase profits.

Page Relevancy

The relevance of web pages is a topic that crops up in almost every discussion on Internet marketing and website content. Every page of your site needs to be relevant to the topic of the site. However, with the landing page, relevancy needs to be even more specific. The landing page needs to be relevant to the exact needs of your visitors. If they've clicked a link believing they will be presented with more information on a topic, then you need to provide that information. If they believe they are being thrust into the thick of the purchasing process, then that's where they should be taken.

Identifying And Adding Your USP

A USP, or Unique Selling Propisition, is what makes you a more attractive prospect than your competitors. A better service, free shipping, or cheaper products could be your USP. Almost every service and website has a USP but not all identify and clearly promote that USP. By doing so, you will stand out from your competition, making you a more attractive choice.

Adding A CTA

A CTA, or Call To Action, needs to be clearly defined within your content. If the desired action is to click a link, then you need to identify that link and make it impossible (though not literally) for visitors to ignore the appeal of clicking. Click Here is usually a weak CTA for a link and is best avoided where possible.

Giveaways And Discounts

When all other possibilities fail, offer something for free as an incentive. We all love to receive freebies and discounts and your visitors are no different. It doesn't have to cost much, but it does have to have perceived value for your visitors. Again, make your incentive as prominent as possible within the content of your page.

Summary

Optimizing your landing pages will do significant wonders for your conversion rates and, therefore, your profit levels. Always measure the results of those landing pages, make slight alterations, and track the performance of the new page to see whether the change had the desired effect. A well optimized landing page can make a very big difference to your adveritsing ROI.

Making eBook Sales on eBay Promotional Powerhouses

Selling eBooks on eBay really is exciting. While eBooks are not brand new, thousands of new eBook buyers are “born” every day. eBooks are a great medium for sharing marketing information, ideas, techniques, and expert knowledge. I learned how to sell eBooks by reading, you guessed it, an eBook that I bought on eBay! Each and every day the number of people accessing the Internet grows, and with it the registered numbers of buyers on eBay grows. This causes the exposure of your eBooks to increase incrementally. It's obvious why eBook selling on eBay has become so popular so quickly.

Don't get me wrong, I hope that eBooks do not forever banish the printed word. Books in print have their own special qualities and merits, and the world would be diminished by their disappearance. I mean what would hold up the short leg of the couch, right?

So what makes eBook sales on eBay so important and so unique. eBooks have certain abilities and qualities that other mediums do not possess. These qualities allow a publisher, like myself, massive potential for monthly income.

For example, making an eBook is cheap, in fact it is free! When I write my own eBook, I use a free word processor with a free PDF converter. Just think about it: you don't need a publisher, an agent, a printing press, offset film, ink, paper, or even a distributor. You just need a great concept, the ability to write it.

eBooks are so easily and quickly distributed online, especially when you sell with eBay's immediate download feature. It is also easy to make a revised, or updated, version of your eBook. It's not like you have to a second print run. All you need is to go into your original creation and modify the text or graphics. Because of this flexibility, eBooks can change and grow as fast as you can type and list on eBay.

As an eBook buyer as well, I really love how eBooks are also immediately obtainable. You don't have to go to a bookstore or search through endless titles at an online bookstore. All you have to do is download it from a website, and presto! It's on your computer, ready to be read. You can really see now how eBooks fit right into today's “I Need It Right Now” world. eBay also helps sellers by offering immediate download links after payment. I also use a website script to email that link to my customers automatically.

The best part about eBooks is that they are interactive. This is one of the most unique and specific qualities that eBooks offer. You can add newsletter sign up forms, links to your eBay store, links to your websites, links to your affiliate programs, links to videos. All of these links can potentially earn you money, just like they do for me. The potential is really is limitless.

You can also write an eBook that is designed specifically to promote another online product you sell. For example, if you have a website hosting company you can write an eBook about choosing a good website host. If you are selling a diet plan, you can write an eBook about why your diet plan is the best one or tell your diet plan success story in your eBook. Then sell your eBook on eBay.

Can you see how your eBook sold on eBay can be a promotional powerhouse?

How To Drive Hundreds Of Hungry Buyers To Your Website

If you can master the technique I am about to share with you, you will always have hundreds of hungry web visitors thirsting for your knowledge and more importantly interested in your products or service. You will have ultimately created the perfect wealth formula.

There are tons of ways to drive traffic to a website, but for our purposes here today in this article, we are going to focus on "article writing." Writing content rich articles is exactly what Google, Yahoo and MSN are looking for. If you are not sure how search engines work, here's what happens. When you write an informative article either explaining, reviewing or investigating a particular product or service, then submit that article to hundreds of article directories, it's going to do 3 things for your website, drive targeted traffic, increase PR rankings in Google and will establish you as an authority within your niche market.

Before you go out and submit a article to just any old directory, it's important to understand which article directories Google seems to favor. Over the past 3 years I have been able to pick up on a few reputable article directories that seem to give more exposure. The following article directories are favored by the Google search engine, ezinearticles, squidoo, buzzle articles, and searchwarp. It has come to my attention that my articles are ranked higher in Google and have received more exposure with the article directories listed above. Submitting to these directories with higher PR rankings gives your article more credibility, hence more exposure.

After you have a well written article, typically you are allowed to place a link back to your site in the resource box. If you want to SEO your article for a particular keyword and have it rank higher in Google, instead of using a generic link, use a hyper link with the keyword you are trying to target. For example, if your business focuses on selling marketing strategies, then you would hyper link your site in the resource box using that keyword, "marketing strategies." Google recognizes this as anchor text and tends to rank your website higher for that particular keyword.

Lastly, writing an article every few days or every few weeks begins to build your credibility with potential buyers within your niche market. Checking your article for relevant content related to your business, submitting them to the right article directories and giving away value within your article could potentially generate large influxes of web traffic. In the end, you have created a relationship with the reader and possibly someone that's willing to do business with you.
